Zusammenfassung

Die normale Thrombozytopoese erfolgt im Knochenmark107. Im Verlauf ihrer Entwicklung aus pluripotenten Stammzellen entwickeln die Megakaryozyten ihre enzymatischen und antigenen Merkmale39. Durch Endomitose entsteht eine Polyploidie bis 32 N. Der Megakaryozyt reift, indem er Granula und Demarkationsmembranen ausbildet, und setzt Thrombozyten durch Fragmentation frei. Aus jedem Megakaryozyten (Gesamtbestand 15 × 106/kg Körpergewicht) können 1000–1500 Blutplättchen entstehen. Thrombozyten zirkulieren als scheibenförmige kernlose Zellen (Durchmesser 3 μm, Dicke 1 μm, mittleres Zellvolumen 9,5 ± 1,2 fl) in einer Zahl von 250000/μl ± 100000 und haben eine mittlere Überlebenszeit von 9–10 Tagen.
