Zusammenfassung

Bei der Behandlung der Multiplikator- und Akzeleratorprozesse in den Abschnitten 2.2 und 7.1 sind wir davon ausgegangen, daß jede Ausweitung der nominalen Güternachfrage zu einer Ausdehnung der Güterproduktion im gleichen Umfang führt. Es war unterstellt worden: Bei den vorgegebenen konstanten Preisen und Löhnen sind die Unternehmen bereit, das mengenmäßige Angebot sofort und vollständig an die Nachfrageveränderung anzupassen; sie sind dazu auch in der Lage, da sie auf ein vollkommen elastisches Arbeitsangebot zurückgreifen können. Unter dieser Annahme ließ sich herausarbeiten, wie es zu einer Angleichung von Güternachfrage und Produktionspotential allein über Mengenreaktionen kommen kann. Analytische Klarheit, nicht Realitätsnähe, war der Grund für die Annahme einer vollständigen Anpassung der Produktion an die Nachfrageänderung bei unveränderten Preisen und Löhnen.
