Zusammenfassung

Grundgerüst der Glukokortikoide ist ein polyzyklischer Kohlenwasserstoff, das Pregnan. Die Biosynthese beginnt mit der Oxidation von Cholesterol über Pregnolonon zu Progesteron. Durch Hydroxylierung anC17 und nachfolgender Hydroxylierung an C21 und C11 entsteht das körpereigene Glukokortikoid, das Kortisol.
