Zusammenfassung
Im operativen Krankengut finden sich häufiger Diabetiker, als ihrem Anteil an der Bevölkerung entspricht. Dies ist Folge ihrer Multimorbidität. Da Begleit- und Folgekrankheiten des Diabetes mit dem Lebensalter und der Diabetesdauer zunehmen, ergibt sich sowohl eine gehäufte Indikationsstellung für bestimmte Eingriffe als auch ein erhöhtes Operationsrisiko.
