Zusammenfassung

Venerische Erkrankungen lassen sich nicht scharf definieren; in den angelsächsischen Ländern wird von „sexually transmitted diseases“ (STD) gesprochen. In Anlehnung daran wurde hier eine Auswahl von Erkrankungen getroffen, bei denen sexuelle Praktiken als häufigster Übertragungsmodus gelten. Da sich venerische Erkrankungen an verschiedenen Organen manifestieren können, werden nicht nur Dermatologen und Venerologen für ihre Behandlung herangezogen.
