Zusammenfassung
Schwerwiegende Komplikationen während der Narkose oder im direkten Anschluß an die Anästhesie, werden häufig dem Anästhesieverfahren zugeschrieben. So ist es verständlich, wenn in den vergangenen 20 Jahren versucht wurde, die unerwarteten — d. h. plötzlich auftretenden Zwischenfälle — aufzuklären. Von Seiten der Anästhesiologie wurde deshalb in den vergangenen 20 Jahren umfangreich geforscht, um eine kausale Zuordnung der Zwischenfälle möglich zu machen.
