Praxis der Regionalanästhesie

Zusammenfassung

Obgleich für die Mehrzahl chirurgischer Eingriffe noch immer die Allgemeinanästhesie angewendet wird und auch erforderlich ist, hat die Regionalanästhesie in den letzten Jahren weiterhin an Popularität gewonnen. Dies beruht nicht nur allein auf der Tatsache, daß immer mehr Anästhesisten in der Lage sind, Verfahren der Regionalanästhesie technisch durchzuführen, sondern auch darauf, daß diese Verfahren nicht nur in der perioperativen Phase, sondern auch in zunehmendem Maße für die postoperative Schmerzbehandlung und ganz allgemein zur Behandlung chronischer Schmerzen zur Anwendung kommen. So liegt in einzelnen, auch großen Kliniken der Prozentsatz der Regionalanästhesien von allen klinischen Anästhesien bei über 40%.
