Zusammenfassung
Die Leber ist das Zentralorgan des Intermediärstoffwechsels. Eine Ausschaltung der Leber durch Hepatektomie führt innerhalb weniger Stunden zum Tode. Alle Gebiete des Stoffwechsels werden von der Leber erfaßt.
