Ultrastructure of Hyperacute Rejection in Cardiac Xenografts

Abstract

Little is known about the light microscopic appearances of hyperacute (vascular, humoral) cardiac rejection (Chap. 13). Data available are mainly based upon animal experimentation [1-5] and experience with the occasional hyperacute rejection of human cardiac ahografts [6-8]. Even less is known about the ultrastructural features [1,2,9-13].
