Zusammenfassung
Akute Blutungen aus dem Gastrointestinaltrakt stellen immer eine Notfallsituation dar, die der Lokalisation und Identifikation der Blutungsquelle und einer möglichst umgehenden Blutstillung bedürfen [6]. Die endoskopisch in 90%–95% mögliche Lokahsation und Identifikation der BlutungsqueUe hat zur gezielten und indizierten operativen Blutstillung, zur Verhinderung unnötiger Operationen, zu einer Verkürzung der Krankenhausverweildauer und zu einer Senkung des Verbrauchs von Blutkonserven geführt. Die Senkung der Letalität einer akuten Gastrointestinalblutung, insbesondere des blutenden Ulkusleidens, scheint jedoch erst durch den endoskopischen Einsatz verschiedener BlutstiUungsverfahren möghch [10, 24].
