Zusammenfassung
Dieses Kapitel enthält eine Zusammenfassung der theoretischen Beschreibung von Ein- und Mehrelektronensystemen, wie sie seit mehr als fünf Jahrzehnten entwickelt und erfolgreich auf viele Fragestellungen der Atomphysik angewendet wurde. Die Darstellung ist bewußt knapp gehalten. Für eine gründlichere Einführung in die Atomphysik kann das Buch von Bransden und Joachain [BJ83] empfohlen werden. Auf wesentlich formalerem Niveau ist das Buch „Atomic Many-Body Theory“von Lindgren und Morrison [LM85] angesiedelt. Schließlich sei noch „Atomic Structure“von Condon und Odabasi [CO80] erwähnt, das eine sehr umfassende Darstellung von herkömmlichen Strukturrechnungen für Atome enthält.
