Abstract

The magic tool of lasers, so effectively used in neurosurgery, gastrointestinal surgery, vascular surgery, and other ever increasing indications also has its place in dermatologie surgery, particularly in vascular nevi and vascular malformations. There seems to be a limited application in the treatment of acne scarring. Expectations, notably from patients and laymen, are very high. Controlled clinical studies are unfortunately very scarce.
