Zusammenfassung
Die von dem ungarischen, später in Princeton, USA, wirkenden Mathematiker John von Neumann im Jahre 1928 begründete und Anfang 1940 gemeinsam mit dem österreichischen, damals ebenfalls bereits in Princeton lehrenden Oskar Morgenstern ausgearbeitete Theorie der strategischen Spiele (kurz: Spieltheorie) ist eine allgemeine mathematischen Theorie des rationalen Verhaltens in Entscheidungssituationen, deren Ergebnis von den Aktionen mehrerer autonomer Entscheidungsträger bestimmt wird.
