Zusammenfassung

Die Gefäßchirurgie umfaßt Eingriffe an den großen zentralen Arterien, v. a. der Aorta und ihren Abgängen, Eingriffe an peripheren Arterien und schließlich Eingriffe am gesamten venüsen System. Die vorliegenden Ausführungen befassen sich mit den chirurgischen Eingriffen an der Aorta thoracalis und abdominalis sowie an den von ihr abgehenden großen Arterien v. a. im Bereich des Aortenbogens, da diese ausgesprochene chirurgische und anästhesiologische Spezialgebiete darstellen.
