Abstract

Having examined the development of a CIM strategy and implementation possibilities, this section will now consider existing CIM prototypes. In the first instance solutions will be described which are not in productive use, but rather have been developed as “show solutions” or research projects. The interdependences, hardware and software modules used and the development experience presented can, however, provide suggestions for actual developments. Finally, three examples of projects already implemented or being implemented will be presented.
