Abstract
In Chaps. 13 and 15 we have seen that the Schrödinger equation can be solved relatively simply for the motion of a particle in the spherically symmetric potential V (r) . The Schrödinger equation for the relative motion of two particles, which interact with each other by a spherically symmetric potential, can be reduced to this case. It is more difficult when the potential is no longer spherically symmetric or when three particles mutually interact.
