Abstract

Breast cancer is not only the most common cancer but also the chief cause of death from cancer for women in many countries. Mortality figures vary greatly, ranging from 25–35 per 100000 in Great Britain, Denmark, the Netherlands, United States and Canada to 2–5 per 100000 in Japan, Mexico and Venezuela.
