Zusammenfassung
Alkohol ist schon vor 1 000 Jahren von den Arabem zum Einlegen von Früchten benutzt worden. Noch älter ist die Vergärung von zuckerhaltigen Früchten zu Wein, die man in gewisser Hinsicht ebenfalls als Konservierungsverfahren bezeichnen könnte. Die alkoholische Gärung soll im Rahmen dieser Darstellung aber nicht näher abgehandelt werden.
