Zusammenfassung
Der Begriff RADAR (RAdio Detection And Ranging) beinhaltet Methoden zur Entdeckung von Objekten und zur Bestimmung ihrer Parameter (Lage, Bewegungszustand, Beschaffenheit) mit Hilfe elektromagnetischer Wellen. Die Anfänge der Radartechnik gehen auf Hülsmeyer [1] zurück; Darstellungen der geschichtlichen Entwicklung befinden sich in [2-5]; gebräuchliche Frequenzbereiche sind in Tab. 1 aufgeführt. Die Radarverfahren werden zur Überwachung und Sicherung des Flug-, Wasser- und Landverkehrs und in der Meteorologie, der Raumfahrt, der Astronomie und zur Erderkundung eingesetzt.
