Zusammenfassung
Grundlage jeder drahtlosen Nachrichtenübermittlung ist die Eigenschaft bestimmter elektromagnetischer Wellentypen, sich auch im völlig materielosen Raum ausbreiten zu können. Der Sendeantenne kommt dabei die Aufgabe zu, die vom Sender in der Regel in Form einer Leitungswelle gelieferte hochfrequente Leistung in eine derartige nicht-leitungsgebundene Freiraumwelle umzuwandeln, während die Empfangsantenne einen Bruchteil der mit dieser Welle transportierten Leistung wiederum rückwandelt in eine Leitungswelle, die den Empfänger speist. Bild 1 zeigt das Blockschaltbild einer drahtlosen Übertragungsstrecke. Wenn auch im Einzelfall die Leitungsstücke längs derer die Hochfrequenzenergie in Form einer Leitungswelle geführt werden sehr kurz sein können, so ist es trotzdem grundsätzlich möglich, jede Antenne als Wellentypwandler mit der Eigenschaft, eine Leitungswelle in eine Raumwelle umzuwandlen und umgekehrt, aufzufassen. Bei optimaler Ausführung paßt die Antenne den Leitungswellenwiderstand ZL an den Feldwellenwiderstand des freien Raums [1]. Bild 2 zeigt in einem Feldlinienmomentanbild die am Ein- und Ausgang einer Sendeantenne auftretenden Wellentypen. Die spezielle Ausführung der Antenne als Wellentypwandler hängt wesentlich vom gewünschten Betriebsfrequenzbereich und der geforderten Antennenrichtcharakteristik ab.
