Zusammenfassung

Diese Erkrankung ist eine fakultative Folge des Refluxes von Magenoder Darminhalt in den Ösophagus bei mangelhafter Schließfunktion des unteren Ösophagussphinkters. Mit dieser Beschreibung soll zum Ausdruck kommen, daß der Kontakt des Mageninhalts mit dem Epithel der Speiseröhre nicht in jedem Fall entzündliche Symptome hervorrufen muß, außerdem müssen entzündliche Schleimhautveränderungen des Ösophagus nicht notwendigerweise eine Schmerzsymptomatik verursachen.
