Abstract
The standard positions for cast-free postoperative care of the extremities are as follows.

Fractures of the Tibia

The leg is elevated at a 135° angle on a splint padded with foam rubber. The knee is flexed to 45°. The ankle is kept at 90° with the sole of the foot against a fixed foot rest. The limb is loosely tied to the splint with cloth strips.
