Zusammenfassung

Zusätzlich zu den generell chirurgisch zu behandelnden Erkrankungen, die vom histopathologischen Standpunkt aus uninteressant sind (z.B. Blepharochalasis, orbitale Fetthernien, Ptosis), treten an den Augenlidern auch sämtliche dermatologischen Prozesse wie anderswo an der Haut auf. Häufig beobachtete entzündliche Veränderungen, die nicht weiter erwähnt zu werden brauchen, sind die zahlreichen unspezifischen Dermatitiden, die seborrhoische Blepharitis und die akute Staphylokokkenblepharitis als inneres und äußeres Hordeolum. Mißbildungen der Lider sind für den Ophthalmo-Pathologen nicht ergiebig. Kolobome werden histologisch nicht untersucht. Das bei der chirurgischen Korrektur einer kongenitalen Ptosis anfallende Gewebe weist oft auf ein Fehlen der quer-gestreiften Muskulatur des Levator palpebrae hin, während der glatte Müllersche Muskel meist gut entwickelt ist.
