Zusammenfassung

Die Begriffe der allgemeinen Pathologie bewähren sich auch in der Ophthalmoskopie. In der täglichen Praxis studieren wir die Augenveränderungen mit einer der Lichtmikroskopie vergleichbaren Vergrößerung. Die detaillierte Beschreibung der Morphologie des klinischen Befundes gewinnt damit ein größeres Gewicht als sonst bei klinischen Untersuchungen üblich ist. Wenn man die „lebenden“ Veränderungen mit den histologischen korrelieren kann, wird die ophthalmoskopische Untersuchung tatsächlich zur Biomikroskopie. Diese Gegenüberstellung in einer kurzen Übersicht zu erleichtern, ist das Anliegen dieses Kapitels. Es sollen insbesondere noch einmal die sog. unspezifischen Befunde zusammengefaßt werden, deren Analyse den Weg zu einer bestimmten Diagnose weisen kann, wenn auch die Lokalisation am Fundus miteinbezogen wird.
