Zusammenfassung
Neurone. Die Bausteine des Nervensystems sind die Nervenzellen, auch Ganglienzellen, meist aber Neurone genannt. Es ist geschätzt worden, daß das menschliche Gehirn etwa 2,5 X 1010 (25 Milliarden) Neurone besitzt. Wie alle tierischen Zellen, hat jedes Neuron eine Zellmembran, die den Zellinhalt, nämlich das Cytoplasma (Zellflüssigkeit) und den Zellkern umschließt.
