Zusammenfassung

Maligne Ergüsse sind meistens Spätkomplikationen eines Tumorleidens im metastasierenden Stadium. Sie können aber auch Ausdruck eines lokalen Tumorgeschehens — Wachstum des Tumors per continuitatem oder lymphogene Ausbreitung — sein. Ferner können Körperhöhlenergüsse auch durch Kompression von Lymphabflußwegen oder von großen Körpervenen Zustandekommen.
