Zusammenfassung
Die Lymphogranulomatose steht hinsichtlich der Häufigkeit an der Spitze aller malignen Lymphome; sie ist etwas häufiger als die chronische lymphatische Leukämie. Man rechnet mit 20 Neuerkrankungen pro Jahr auf 1 Mill. Einwohner bei der weißen Bevölkerung Europas und der USA. Unter ca. 5 000 neuen Fällen, die jährlich in den USA auftreten, entfallen ca. 3 000 auf die klinischen Einteilungsstadien I und II und ca. 2 000 auf die Stadien III und IV. Pro Jahr sterben ca. 3 300 Menschen in den USA an der Lymphogranulomatose; in Europa werden 1,5– 3,0 männliche und 1,4–2,1 weibliche Todesfälle pro 100 000 Einwohner durch die Lymphogranulomatose bedingt.
