Zusammenfassung

In den letzten beiden Kapiteln haben wir die wechselseitigen Beziehungen der Organismen untereinander kennengelernt, und wir haben gesehen, in welcher Weise sie ihren Lebensraum verändern können. Ein ursprüngliches Gleichgewicht kann dabei zerstört bzw. durch ein neues abgelöst werden. Als krassestes Beispiel haben wir die Produktion von Sauerstoff durch grüne Pflanzen genannt, als dessen Folge die Evolution der Organismen in eine neue, vorher ausgeschlossene Richtung verlief.
