Zusammenfassung

Nach einer Definition des Criteria Commitee of the New York Heart Association handelt es sich beim Lymphödem um ein Ödem, das durch eine Obstruktion des Lymphflusses bedingt ist. Im Anfangsstadium finden sich erweiterte Lymphgefäße und Gewebsspalten, später kommt eine Proliferation des Bindegewebes, häufig mit entzündlicher Zell-infiltration, Pigmentation und fibrotischer Verdickung des erweiterten Lymphgefäßes, hinzu [5].
