Antimikrobielle Mittel werden sehr vielseitig eingesetzt, bei richtiger Anwendung erzielt man beachtliche therapeutische Ergebnisse. Andererseits können sie Anlaß zu ernsten Komplikationen geben und sollten daher nur bei eindeutiger Indikation herangezogen werden.
