Zusammenfassung
Unter Krankheitszuständen mit Granulocytopenic werden solche Zustände verstanden, bei denen die zirkulierende Granulocytenzahl signifikant unter 2000/mm3 liegt (22). Beträgt die Granulocytenzahl weniger als 1000/mm3, so steigt nach einer eingehenden Analyse von Freireich u. Mitarb. das Risiko einer mikrobiell bedingten Komplikation stark und umgekehrt proportional zur Granulocytenzahl an. Bei dem von Freireich untersuchten Patientenkollektiv handelte es sich um leukämische Erkrankungen unter dem Einfluß intensiver antileukämischer Therapie. — Mikrobiell bedingte Komplikationen sind besonders bei den akuten Leukämieformen häufige Todesursache (3, 7, 10), bei besonders guten Möglichkeiten für Thrombocytenersatz in bis zu 80% der Fälle (9). Gram-positive Kokken und Gram-negative Stäbchen, Pilze der Candida-und Aspergillus-Gruppen sowie disseminierte Virusinfektion (Varicellen-und Cytomegalievirus) sind von besonderer Bedeutung (10).
