Zusammenfassung

Die seit langem vermutete zentrale Steuerung der ACTH-Sekretion wurde durch die Entdeckung des „Corticotropin-Releasing-Factor“(CRF) bewiesen. Er konnte im Zwischenhirn und in der Hypophyse nachgewiesen werden (3, 4, 5, 7). Seine Bestimmung im peripheren Blut, die uns am Patienten Rückschlüsse auf Ätiologie und Pathogenese der Krankheit erlauben würde, ist jedoch noch nicht Möglich.
