Zusammenfassung

Wie bei anderen endokrinen Organen unterliegt auch das Wechselspiel zwischen Hypophysenvorderlappen (HVL) und Nebennierenrinde (NNR) der homöostatischen Regulation. Daraus folgt, daß Zufuhr von Cortison einen Rückgang der ACTH-Ausschüttung und damit eine Atrophie der Nebennierenrinde bewirkt. 1937 und 1938 beschrieben Ingle u. Mitarb. (12, 13) erstmals diese Atrophie im Tierversuch an der Ratte. In der Folgezeit wurde dieser Befund mehrfach bestätigt (1, 14, 15, 19). Auch beim Menschen sind entsprechende Befunde bekannt.
