Zusammenfassung

Schon einige Minuten nach der Jodaufnahme durch das Magen-Darm-System findet man normalerweise auf der Höhe der Schilddrüse eine deutliche Strahlungsaktivität von J 131. Das durch die Nahrung aufgenommene organische oder anorganische Jod wird durch den Darmkanal rasch und fast vollständig (80 bis 90%) resorbiert [etwa 5% des zugeführten Jods pro Minute nach Keating und Albert, 1949 (1)], wobei die Dejodasen, die Darmwand und die Leber die Spaltung der Jodverbindungen besorgen.
