Zusammenfassung

Wenn mir die Aufgabe übertragen wurde, über stoffwecbaelbedingte Funktionsstörungen der Nieren als sekundäre Phänomene zu sprechen, und wenn hierbei der Diabetes mellitus ganz in den Vordergrund rückt, da er den Arzt und den Kliniker täglich beschäftigt, so muß zugleich die Frage aufgeworfen werden, inwiefern der Diabetes mellitus eine Stoffwechselkrankheit sei, um — wie es offenbar vom Herrn Präsidenten beabsichtigt ist — eine thematische Unterscheidung von meinem Herrn Vorredner zu treffen. Diese Frage muß ich kurz dahingehend beantworten, daß der Diabetes mellitus sowohl eine vielseitig hormonelle wie metabolische Störung ist.
