Bei Operationen am Herzen oder den großen Gefäßen, insbesondere bei Eingriffen in Hypothermie, erwarten Operateur und Anästhesist vom Internisten, dem die laufende intraoperative kardiologische Überwachung obliegt, möglichst frühzeitige Erkennung von Komplikationen oder Aussagen über den weiteren Verlauf.
