Abstract
In Slovenia, the field of child and adolescent psychiatry joins all the professions and services dealing with children and adolescents with mental disorders or dysfunctional psycho-social development. The child and adolescent psychiatrist is a specialist who has completed his/her residency in psychiatry by a board exam and works in the field of child and adolescent psychiatry, comprising diagnostics, treatment, and prevention.
