„Heute ist es möglich, Spätschwangerschaft und Geburt durch Kardiotokographie (CTG) so zu überwachen, daß ein Absterben des Feten während der Geburt grundsätzlich vermeidbar und der antepartale, intrauterine Fruchttod nur noch ein kalkulierbares Ereignis bei nicht lebensfähigem Kind ist“ (1,1).
