Zusammenfassung

Der folgende Beitrag befaßt sich mit den Wechselbeziehungen zwischen Gift und Leberfunktion, die sich daraus ergeben, daß einmal die Leber wie jedes andere Organ im Körper auch das Zielorgan von Giften sein und durch diese geschädigt werden kann, und zum anderen daraus, daß die Leber wegen ihrer besonderen Funktion als Fremdstoffe metabolisierendes Eliminationsorgan Gifte der verschiedensten Art chemisch umwandeln und so den Vergiftungsablauf modifizieren kann.
