Zusammenfassung

Der laute, zuweilen im Abstand von Zentimetern bis Metern hörbare I. Ton gilt als ein Charakteristikum der Mitralstenose. Allerdings handelt es sich nicht um ein obligates Symptom (Herkel und Zur). Befriedigend geklärt ist die Entstehungsweise der Verstärkung des I. Tones bei der Mitralstenose noch nicht.
