A Review of the Literature on Technological Competition

  • Chapter
R & D, Innovation and Industrial Structure

Part of the book series: Contributions to Economics ((CE))

Abstract

The purpose of this chapter is twofold. First, to provide an introduction into the game-theoretical literature on technological competition. Second, the review of the literature serves as a starting point and motivation for my own work. Each section concludes with a short discussion in which open questions are addressed that will be discussed in later chapters.
