Zusammenfassung

Die Begriffe “Information” und “Entscheidung” stellen für die in den weiteren Kapitehi folgende Diskussion über Decision Support Systeme (DSS) Schlüsselbegriffe dar. Aus diesem Grund wird zunächst eine definitorische Charakterisierung und Abgrenzung getroffen, um eine einheitliche Verständnisgrundlage zu schaffen. Darüberhinaus lassen sich bereits aus diesen einführenden Darstellungen wichtige Hinweise und Denkanstöße für die Konzeption und Realisierung von Decision Support Systemen ableiten, die in den nachfolgenden Kapiteln aufgegriffen und in die Betrachtung integriert werden.
