Abstract

Cysts (from Greek kustis: bladder) are not tumours, but in pathology the term covers a number of disparate entities; in bone pathology they share a very similar radiological image. The relative specificity of the radiological image and the particular circumstances of their development are the justification for surgical biopsy.
