Abstract
In chapter 2, we introduced a general two-period decision problem. We saw what kind of structure such a model must have to be able to handle irreversibility and learning. We proved several results for the model, but we have not yet given a systematic treatment. As a first step towards such a systematic treatment, it is important to note what kind of cases can be distinguished within the framework of the general model of chapter 2.
