Summary
Familial polyposis coli is a classical premalignant disease. Maliganancy has been observed as early as the 2nd decade of life. The probability of the development of colorectal cancer rises with age. The problem of prophylactic colectomy in childhood and adolescence is discussed using the example of two sisters whose father died of colorectal cancer at the age of 32.
Zusammenfassung
Die familiäre Polyposis coli stellt eine klassische Präkanzerose dar. Eine maligne Entartung kommt gelegentlich bereits am Ende der 2. Lebensdekade zur Beobachtung. Mit zunehmenden Alter steigt die Wahrscheinlichkeit, daß sich ein kolorektales Karzinom entwickelt. Am Beispiel eines Geschwisterpaares wird die Problematik der pophylaktischen Kolektomie im Kindes- bzw. Adoleszentenalter besprochen. Der ebenfalls betroffene Vater war im Alter von 32 Jahren an einem kolorektalen Karzinom verstorben.
