Abstract
In the last 10 to 15 years there has been a lot of technical proposals for the introduction of optical fibres in telecommunication networks including the connection to the subscriber partially including the connection to the subscriber set. The technical aspects of these new systems were borne in mind most, and only in a few cases the costs of these new techniques in comparison with conventional solutions were undertaken, too.
