Zusammenfassung

Die Meiose besteht aus zwei Zellteilungen, denen eine einzige S-Phase vorgeschaltet ist. Die Mechanismen, denen die Chromosomenbewegung unterliegt, sind in Mitose und Meiose gleich. Es besteht daher kein Zweifel, daß sich die meiotischen Teilungen phylogenetisch von Mitosen ableiten.
