Genetics of the Epilepsies

Abstract

Since the introduction of photostimulation as a method of activation into clinical electroencephalography, as well as since the first description of the enhanced electroencephalographic response to light stimuli, i.e., the photoparoxysmal (photoconvulsive) and the photomyogenic (photomyoclonic) reactions, there has been much literature published describing under what conditions these responses are observed, their various manifestations, and in recent years, their clinical relevance.
