Abstract
A data set is a collection of observed values of one or more variables. In the simplest case, data consist of repeated measurements of one variable. In table 2.1 the differences between the exchange rate for American Dollars (US$) on the first day of each month from January 1983 to December 1984 are shown. The exchange rate is defined as the value in DKK (Danish Kroner) of 100 US$.
