Zusammenfassung

In diesem Kapitel sollen die toxischen Effekte von Pharmaka und anderen Substanzgruppen, die eine gewisse Selektivität für das Herz- und Kreislaufsystem besitzen, dargestellt werden. Per defmitionem handelt es sich bei diesen um unerwünschte, mehr oder minder schwerwiegende Wirkungen, die zu einer reversiblen Funktionsstörung und/oder zu einer dauerhaften Schädigung führen können. Die Beziehung zwischen Agens und toxischer Wirkung läßt sich formal in der Regel als Dosis-Wirkungs-Beziehung beschreiben. Häufig besteht jedoch eine Intermediärzone mit einer beim Einzelnen möglichen, aber nicht im Einzelfall voraussagbaren toxischen Antwort. Mögliche Angriffspunkte kardiotoxisch wirksamer Substanzen sind alle Strukturen des kardiovaskulären Systems, beginnend bei übergeordneten Regulationszentren und dem vegetativen Nervensystem bis zur Gefäßmuskulatur, Reizleitungssystem und Myokard. Nachfolgend sollen vorwiegend die toxischen Effekte auf die beiden letztgenannten Strukturen besprochen werden. Die toxischen Effekte selbst lassen sich sowohl funktionell als auch anatomisch beschreiben.
